Making Future Design | 10 June | QUAD

Join the Institute for Boundary Interactions at the second in a series of forum events as part of the Making Future Work digital research programme.

The event focuses around the development, challenges and opportunities of future design and the data sphere. We are going to be presenting work in progress from our research project; Urban Immune System Research, a critical design project investigating parallel futures in the emergence of the smart-city .

Alongside us there will be presentations from Richard Birkin (Mudlark) who will be talking about his recent Data Scouting Mission to unleash public body data into the public domain. Andy Gracie (Hackteria.org), an artist working with installation, robotics, sound, video and biological practice and our mentor for the project. James Auger (Auger & Loizeau) of design duo Auger & Loizeau and tutor to the MA Design Interactions at the RCA & Julian Tate (FutureEverything) who is pioneering Open Data Cities at Manchester s FutureEverything Festival.

The event is FREE but booking is essential. To reserve your place BOOK HERE.

If you can't make the event you can follow the discussion on twitter with the hashtag #futurework

There will be documentation from the event on the Making Future Work website.
